I was a bit wary after reading some of the reviews but everything was excellent! Reception has its own door if you don't like the bar. We did like the bar, it is a friendly little sports pub with a crowd of local regulars and the barman gave a little taster splash of our chosen drinks to make sure we liked them! Check-in was quick and easy and the stairs are easy to navigate. Didn't try the lift so can't say anything about it. We also didn't buy the hotel breakfast so no opinion on that either. There is a supermarket right next door, too easy. The room was warm, clean, and cosy. We had only booked a double room but were put in a 4-sleeper (double + bunk beds) so we could spread out. The beds were very comfortable, nice firm mattresses and crisps white bedding. Bathroom was clean, hot water was plentiful, and our room faced a small park so it was very quiet for the location. It's a budget hotel in a charming older building so manage your expectations accordingly. If you want a comfortable place to lay your head in a great location (4 mins walk to Amagerbro Metro, and just across the road from the 5C bus stop that goes to Central Station), at a very good price for Copenhagen, this is for you. If you want room service, and bellhops to carry your luggage, please feel free to spend 5x the price at a hotel that offers these services. Personally I am very glad that affordable accommodation like Hotel Amager still exists, and thoroughly recommend them.

Reading all the negative reviews here on Booking. Com I had mixed feelings for my stay but they were all put aside when I saw the room. Hotel Amager is one of the absolute best budget hotels I've ever stayed in and the room was exactly as shown on the hotels web site, clean and comfy and one will have to look long and hard to find any room in Copenhagen city that offers the same value for the money as Hotel Amager. Location is as central as it gets with busses at the doorstep, Metro a few minutes away, 2 supermarkets next door, countless restaurants within sight and laundrette 100 meters up the street even the free WiFi was lightning fast. The Staff was all very helpful to my (reasonable) requests, especially the boss, and will certainly book at hotel Amager for my next stay however next time I'll book directly from hotel to get the best rate and the free drinks 🍸 hotels offer for direct bookings. A note to all who expect luxury for peanuts; you are better off forking out 3-4 times as much on Radisson up the street.

The hotel was in Amager, 7 min by bus from the central train station, 5 min walking from the Amagerbro subway station, 30 min walking (literally) from the Christiansborg slot. The hotel was quite, the room - nice: a twin bed, a tv set, 2 night tables with lamps, towels, little soaps and shower gel packs; there was hot water in the bathroom. The man on the reception was really friendly. Who can relate to back and neck problems: there was a tiny pillow which was super comfortable. Windows are facing the street so if you are a light sleeper, take earplugs.

Great staff, very helpful, and it was nice to receive an extra welcoming gift from Tony the manager. The location was great, and the room was ok. There was a hostel vibe there, which I liked. There are football matches watching events at the bar of the hotel, so you can experience some parts of Danish culture there. The pub is quite vibrant but fortunately, I got a room with windows to the other side of the building. There's no kettle in the room, but you can get tea and coffee for free at the pub.

Great location! We were visiting friends and this was a great place to stay close to the city and where our friends live. It was a clean room with the bare essentials, but that's all we really needed. An issue we had was that the key kept getting mixed up when we put it next to our credit cards or cellphones, but that was our mistake and the people at the front desk fixed it immediately, they were all very helpful and kind!
